Chat Configurations 

The chat configuration not only allows you to enable / disable the chat feature for the mobile application but also allows you to edit, activate, or deactivate the chat channels.

How to Disable Chat Features for Bounce Mobile Application?

 

You can disable the chat features for the mobile application for your institution.   To disable the chat feature, follow the steps below.

 

1.  Navigate Configurations.

 

A sub menu is displayed.

 

2.   Click Chat Configuration.

 

The Chat Configuration page is displayed.

 

 

3.  To disable the chat feature on the Bounce mobile application, click the button.

 

 

4.   Click SAVE.

 

The message about the successful disabling of the chat for the institution is displayed.

 

How to Enable Chat Features for Mobile Application?

 

You can enable the chat features for the mobile application for your institution which will help you easily communicate with the parents and teachers.  To enable the chat feature, follow the steps below.

 

1.   Navigate Configurations.

 

A sub menu is displayed.

 

 

 

2.   Click Chat Configuration.

 

The Chat Configuration page is displayed.

 

 

 

 

 

3.  To enable the chat feature on the Bounce mobile application, click the button.

 

4.   Click SAVE.

 

The message about the successful enabling of the chat for the institution is displayed.

 

How to Edit Chat Channel Configuration ?

 

You can edit the various chat channels for the mobile application.  To edit the chat channel, follow the steps below.

 

1.   Navigate Configurations.

 

A dropdown list is displayed.

 

 

 

2.   Click Chat Configuration.

 

The Chat Configuration page is displayed.

 

 

3.   Select the channel you wish to edit and click Edit.

 

The Edit Chat Channel dialog is displayed.

 

 

 

 

4.   Enter the channel name in the Channel Name field.

Note:  This field is mandatory.

 

5.   Select the channel image from the Channel Image dropdown list. The 

available options are Nursery Logo, Student Image or Custom Logo.

6.  If you have chosen the Channel Image as Custom Logo in the above step, then upload an image related to your institution in the Image field.

7.   Click Save.

 

The message about the successful updation of the chat channel is displayed.

 

How to Deactivate a Chat Channel?

 

You can deactivate the chat channel if it is not needed.  To deactivate the chat channel, follow the steps below.

 

1.   Navigate Configurations.

 

A sub menu is displayed.

 

 

2.   Click Chat Configuration.

 

The Chat Configuration page is displayed.

 

3.   Select the chat channel you wish to deactivate and click Deactivate.

 

The Deactivate dialog is displayed.

 

 

4.   Click Yes.

 

The message about the successful updation of the chat channel is displayed.

How to Activate a Chat Channel?

You can activate the chat channel that you had deactivated.  To activate the chat channel, follow the steps below.

 

1.   Navigate Configurations.

 

A sub menu is displayed.

 

 

2.   Click Chat Configuration.

 

The Chat Configuration page is displayed.

 

3.   Click Activate on the channel you wish to activate.

 

The Activate dialog is displayed.

 

 

4.   Click Yes.

 

The message about the successful updation of the chat channel is displayed.
